Welcome to our Reader Offers Website. The following are the terms and conditions for use of and purchase of products from Reader Offers. When you place an order for a Reader Offer product (via the web, email, post, fax and / or telephone) it constitutes your agreement to follow and be bound by these terms, which may at any time be amended. Your use at any time thereafter constitutes your agreement to be bound by the terms as amended. All orders for goods advertised on this site are placed by the purchaser with Markettown and the contract for purchase is between the customer and Markettown.
CANCELLATION & RETURNS
Our products are guaranteed for normal life, under standard use. If any product fails to meet your expectations it may be returned within 14 days of receipt of the product for replacement, refund or credit. To arrange this please contact us at info@markettown.ie or call us on 01-4925876
Any changes or cancellation in respect of any order must be notified in writing to the company within 24 hours of placing the order.
PAYMENT
Payment must be made in full four working days prior to order(s) being despatched failing which the Company may at its absolute discretion refuse to effect delivery.
DELIVERY & NOTIFICATION
We deliver Monday to Friday 9 to 5pm. We aim to despatch goods 14 to 28 days from receipt of order. The customer is responsible for providing correct address telephone number and postal code. The Company cannot accept responsibility for late or non-delivery if recipient address and telephone details are insufficient or incorrect. Any shortfall of which you become aware must be notified to the Company within two days of receipt of goods. Claims for non-delivery must be made within 30 days of despatch of goods. Where orders are placed after notified last order date the Company does not accept responsibility for late delivery. Proof of Delivery of products(s) shall be good evidence of delivery of the specific product(s) as requested by the customer and no question shall be raised as to delivery of individual items therein. Risk in respect of goods transfers to you the buyer upon execution of delivery docket. The Company cannot be responsible should local customs authorities wish to confiscate any product(s) or any particular item contained in a product, or charge any duty. The Company cannot be responsible for delays due to custom regulations outside the EU.
LIMITATION AS TO DAMAGES
The Company shall take all reasonable care in packaging any fragile or breakable items. In the event that any such items are damaged in transit the Company shall be responsible for replacement costs of item only. The Company shall not in any way be responsible for any personal injury or damage to property howsoever caused. Any electronic or digital equipment is sold subject to manufacturer's warranty only. The Company shall not in any way be responsible for any damage or any indirect loss caused by such electronic or digital equipment howsoever arising.
OWNERSHIP RIGHTS & LIMITATION
All goods are the property of the Company until all goods and all outstanding debts to the Company and/or its associate companies have been paid for in full. This Site, its contents together with any trade names used by the Company are protected by intellectual property rights and permission is only given for personal use. Any use beyond that permitted may constitute an infringement of owners' rights and may be prosecuted.
GENERAL
Unless you indicate otherwise your use of the Site constitutes your agreement to the Company replying to you by electronic mail for such purposes as the Company may consider appropriate. The Company does not accept any responsibility to the extent that the Site is connected to any other sites or services beyond its control. Products containing alcohol are not available for delivery to persons under the age of 18 years. It is the policy of the company to ensure that all goods are supplied to our customers in perfect condition and that every possible precaution is taken to protect the integrity of the product that is sold. To this end it is our policy that we do not exchange food, beverage or any other item that may come in contact with the person. The Company reserves the right to refuse to supply any individual or company and reserves the right to deny access to the Site.
WEEE Directive

From the 13th of August 2005 retailers are obliged to take back WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) from members of the public free of charge. This new EU directive ensures that all historic WEEE products are collected, treated and disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.
How does WEEE work?
Take back is on a one-for-one basis only and the product must be of a similar type or have performed the same function as the new product purchased. For example if you purchase a hair-dryer we will take back your old hair-dryer free of charge and ensure it is recycled in a safe and responsible manner. However if you buy a toaster, we will not take back your old television or kettle.
How do I return my old product?
You can return your old product at the time of sale/delivery of the new product. All purchasers of electrical items will be contacted 24 hours before their delivery is made. This is in order to give you adequate time to prepare your old item for return. Alternatively, please call us at 01-4925876 to arrange collection within 15 days of the date of sale or, if delivered, within a maximum of 30 days of the date of delivery.
What are the Environmental Management Costs?
To ensure the collection, treatment and disposal of all WEEE in a safe manner, the prices of electronic and electrical items will now include a contribution to a producer recycling fund. Each item will be associated with a product category, e.g. large household appliances, electronic and electrical tools, etc, which will determine the EMC that applies. All products that incur an EMC, will clearly display the EMC along with the item price both before and after the EMC is applied.
